1. How do I register an account with Senbay.lk?

Our registration process is simple. Use the “sign up/register” option and fill in the required information. Upon registration, you will receive an email to the email address provided. Click the relevant link in the email you received to verify and complete registration.

2. How to post an ad?

Log in to your account first. You can post ads simply by clicking the blue “post your ad” button on the top right corner of the website. Select the ad type and follow the instructions for posting. The ad will go live once moderation process is completed.

3. How long does it take to publish the ad?

Usually, it will take about 1 to 2 hours during working hours.

4. How to delete my ad?

Log in to your account and visit the ads you have created. Select the advertisement which needs to be deleted by clicking the “delete ad” option.

5. How many days will my ad be visible on Senbay.lk?

All ads approved and published on senbay.lk will be active for 90 days. (3 months)

6. Is there any restriction in posting ads with Senbay.lk?

Yes. We do not entertain any ads associated with illegal products and services in Sri Lanka, offensive language, adult content and that seem to be misleading customers.

7. Can I post bump up my ad?

No. Currently, we are not offering any type of featured ad posting options while customers can enjoy our standard free ad posting.

8. How do I spot fake ads?

If the written description of the item differs from the pictures posted by the seller and if the seller is not responding to your inquiry then it is time to use your common sense.

If you think it is fake and doesn’t meet our ad posting guidelines, then go ahead report to us.

9. Can I pay before an item is delivered?

No. As the best sale practise, we advise not to make any payments before any product or service being delivered. Meet the seller and inspect the item first. If satisfied, then go ahead making your buying decision and pay. It is also applicable vice versa while selling.

10. What actions to take if I have been scammed?

Contact the seller if the items were not delivered. There may be some delays in delivery from sellers end. If you haven’t received any response after 24 hours, then report it to the nearest local police station. They can investigate further and resolve the problem.
